David Linde, D.P.M.

Dr. David E. Linde is the Medical Director of Foot Specialists of Birmingham. He is trained in all aspects of foot pathology including diabetes, trauma, sports medicine, and reconstructive surgery. Conservative and preventative care is emphasized and he can usually provide immediate relief of pain.

He received his medical degree from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University, and performed his residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. He also performed a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction surgery at the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Chicago.

Dr. Linde has worked extensively with athletes. He was the Assistant Medical Director of the Mrs. T's Triathlon in Chicago as well as part of the medical staff for the Chicago and Mercedes Marathons.

Dr. Linde has a particular interest in Achilles, heel and arch pain. He is certified in diagnostic ultrasound and this is performed in the office. It offers an advantage of rapid diagnosis and may prevent the usage of an MRI which can be much more expensive. Rapid diagnosis usually means that treatment can be implemented immediately following evaluation of the ultrasound.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Linde is a member of some of the top podiatry organizations:

Meet Our Staff

Our medical staff is specifically trained in the treatment of the foot. Our nursing assistants are certified by the American Society of Podiatric Medical Assistants. Podiatric x-rays are taken in a standing position to more closely re-create the weight bearing effects of the foot condition. Our staff is properly trained in this manner and aid in educating our patients in their particular foot pathology.

Our billing staff is diligent in evaluating your insurance coverage for podiatric services including office visits, x-rays, ultrasounds, in-office surgeries and custom made orthotics. Every insurance plan is different and these out of pocket expenses come in the form of co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles. As medical costs are being shifted from the insurance companies to the patients in the form of higher out of pocket costs we believe that knowledge of these expenses may aid in appropriate treatment alternatives. This way our patients will not experience any financial surprises. However, this is a service we provide to our patients and not a guarantee of what the insurance company will reimburse us for.
